Growing up in the small town of Milton-Freewater and fishing local waters, I have been an avid fisherman since a very young age.

In the ’93 it was time to move to the big town of Portland, looking for local fishing holes I ran across a group of bank fishermen using lures as large a the trout I was used to catching.  After hours of watching huge fish being hooked and landed, I was so excited to give it a shot and the rest is history!

Classified section brought me my first boat, a bright yellow Clackacraft drift boat.  My buddies said it looked like I was driving a bus down the river.

The fishing bug had bitten hard and I had no idea it would take me to this point, standing in fishing supply houses thinking about what I needed to put more fish in the boat it dawned on me that I can make some of the same product.  Jigs, spinners, fishing rods.  The greatest joy was catching a Tillamook hawg on my first home made fishing pole on a spinner I had built!

Fast forward a number of years, fishing with some very close friends all using flashers.  Wouldnt you know it a deadhead snag cleaned all of our rods in one quick second, not once but twice in a different location.  Hooks, weights and the most expensive part, the flashers.  The captain was just beside himself on how much gear was gone and how it would hurt his pocketbook on replacing the parts.  It took me about 30 seconds to pipe up that I think I can rebuild the flashers….  A slight chuckle went out in the boat then the realization that I was serious.

Test fishing trips made me realize that I could supply my friends with an affordable option for fishing flashers and now I want to be able to offer the rest of the fishing community the same options.

Good fishing and tight lines!
